Five pointed star representing the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. They constitute the primary forces of nature, out of which the universe we live in is woven. We are made of these force. Feeling these forces at work and directing them through imagination and visualization is the essence of magic. The Pentacle represents Man within the cosmos and is associated with protection.

Associated with Masonic and Wiccan craft.

Chalice Wells Double Pentagram Pendant
One of the most revered of the ancient holy wells is found in Glastonbury, England. Legend has it that the 'Chalice Well' — which is actually two springs known as the "red" and the "white" was built by the Druids of the Old Religion and provided a bridge between the Underworld and Upper Earth. Joseph of Arimathea is said to have hidden the Chalice, or Holy Grail — the cup that Jesus drank from at the Last Supper — in one of the springs that feeds this well. Water that bubbled to the surface was thought to have significant healing qualities. It is said, the 'Red' Spring is for physical healing, and the 'White' Spring imparts a spiritual quality.
