The Green Man incorporates the green energy of the trees and the creative power of tree spirits returing to life after the death imposed by winter.  The Celtic God Cernunnos like the classical Pan were merged into the Christian horned Devil, though there are frequent reminders of him in the form of the smiling Jack in the Green to be found carved in various churches.

As we move into the 21st century, though the precessional movement is slow, we are now moving into the next stage of Man's evolution, which is the Age of Aquarius.
